Provident Personal Loans Review
Provident are a leading lender of short term cash loans, poor credit loans and loans for unemployed. Provident supply loans to a lot of customers who have been turned down elsewhere and customers who have poor credit, county court judgements, Provident Loans are available in the UK
Independent Review of Provident Loans:
I first contacted Provident Loans as I couldnt get a loan elsewhere. I am on Income Support and have had a few problems in the past with catalogues and credit, and my credit record wasnt particularly good. I was at my friends house one day and her provident agent called to collect her repayments on a loan she had. She had borrowed a few hundred pounds and was paying it off weekly - the money was collected from her house every week so it was easy just to put the money aside each week to cover the repayments when she got her benefits. I asked the agent whether I would be eligible to take out a loan too and she said she would call round the next day with all the paperwork for me to apply for a loan too. The next day the agent called as promised, she asked me how much i wanted to borrow - I wanted to borrow £150 to buy a new mobile phone and I could choose how much I wanted to pay each week - from as little as £5.25. . The repayments are always fixed - I had got myself into trouble previously with a "money lender" more like a loan shark who had constantly increased the repayments and I ended up paying back a massive amount. With Provident this doesnt happen - each week I make a fixed payment and how much I have to pay back and the APR is clearly provided. I have a payment book which the agent signs each week so I always know where I am with the loan.
Once I had paid off my first loan I was free to apply for another loan and the rates were reduced as I was now an existing customer. I have also been able to build up my credit rating by making my loan repayments promptly - and I dont even need to leave the house. Linda L
